British driver Adam Carroll will start from 14th position on the grid in the second round of DTM at Oschersleben. After making it through the preliminary qualifying stage, which saw the slowest six cars eliminated, the Team Futurecom-TME driver qualified 14th in his 2 year old Audi A4.
Times were extremely close with just two tenths between 3rd and 11th after session 1. However, after a strong showing all weekend, the 24 year old from Portadown in Northern Ireland was frustrated he couldn't have done more when he made it through to the next session.
"The way we had been running all weekend, I was really hoping for a top ten so I am disappointed to be on the 7th row of the grid. There was a lot of traffic when I first went out and I had to back off a bit. After that I really struggled to get the temperature back in my tyres," said Adam. "Hopefully we can still have a good race tomorrow and I am aiming to get in the points."
